Na přelomu tisíciletí vstoupila Škodovka do nejvyšší kategorie vozů WRC s modelem Octavia WRC, který navázal na závodní tradici značky. Verze Evo 3 představovala poslední a nejvyspělejší evoluci tohoto modelu.
Vystavený vůz (RZ: MBO 90–42) startoval v sezóně 2002 za tovární tým s posádkou Kenneth Eriksson/Christina Thörner. Na začátku roku 2003 sloužil jako vývojové a testovací auto při přípravách na Rallye Monte Carlo, kde jej využívaly posádky D. Auriol/D. Giraudet a T. Gardemeister/P. Lukander.
Později s tímto vozem startovala posádka Auriol/Giraudet na Rally Turkey 2003 a na závěr sezóny se představil také na Rally Bohemia s Posádkou Matthias Kahle/ Peter Göbel. Tento automobil tak představuje autentický kus historie účasti značky Škoda ve světovém rally.
Vůz je muzeu zapůjčen ze soukromé sbírky Martina Adama a Vojtěcha Klusta. Děkujeme.

Škoda entered the top category of WRC cars at the turn of the millennium with the Octavia WRC, which continued the brand's racing tradition. The Evo 3 version represented the final and most advanced evolution of this model.
The car on display (MBO 90–42) competed in the 2002 season for the factory team with the crew of Kenneth Eriksson and Christina Thörner. In early 2003, it served as a development and test car during preparations for the Monte Carlo Rally, where it was used by the crews of D. Auriol/D. Giraudet and T. Gardemeister/P. Lukander.
Later, the Auriol/Giraudet crew competed with this car in the 2003 Rally Turkey, and at the end of the season, it also appeared in the Rally Bohemia with the crew of Matthias Kahle and Peter Göbel. This car thus represents an authentic piece of history of Škoda's participation in world rallying.

Zur Jahrtausendwende stieg Škoda mit dem Modell Octavia WRC in die höchste Kategorie der WRC-Fahrzeuge ein und knüpfte damit an die Rennsporttradition der Marke an. Die Version Evo 3 stellte die letzte und ausgereifteste Weiterentwicklung dieses Modells dar.
Das ausgestellte Fahrzeug (MBO 90–42) startete in der Saison 2002 für das Werksteam mit der Besatzung Kenneth Eriksson/Christina Thörner. Anfang 2003 diente er als Entwicklungs- und Testfahrzeug bei den Vorbereitungen zur Rallye Monte Carlo, wo er von den Besatzungen D. Auriol/D. Giraudet und T. Gardemeister/P. Lukander eingesetzt wurde.
Später startete das Team Auriol/Giraudet mit diesem Fahrzeug bei der Rallye Türkei 2003, und zum Saisonende wurde es auch bei der Rallye Bohemia mit dem Team Matthias Kahle/Peter Göbel eingesetzt. Dieses Fahrzeug ist somit ein authentisches Stück Geschichte der Teilnahme der Marke Škoda an der Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft.
Das Fahrzeug wurde dem Museum aus der Privatsammlung von Martin Adam und Vojtěch Klust als Leihgabe zur Verfügung gestellt. Vielen Dank.

Na przełomie tysiącleci firma Škoda wkroczyła do najwyższej kategorii samochodów WRC modelem Octavia WRC, który kontynuował wyścigową tradycję marki. Wersja Evo 3 stanowiła ostatnią i najbardziej zaawansowaną ewolucję tego modelu.
Prezentowany samochód (MBO 90–42) startował w sezonie 2002 w barwach zespołu fabrycznego z załogą Kenneth Eriksson/Christina Thörner. Na początku 2003 roku służył jako samochód rozwojowy i testowy podczas przygotowań do Rajdu Monte Carlo, gdzie korzystały z niego załogi D. Auriol/D. Giraudet oraz T. Gardemeister/P. Lukander.
Później za kierownicą tego samochodu wystartowała załoga Auriol/Giraudet w Rajdzie Turcji 2003, a pod koniec sezonu zaprezentował się on również w Rajdzie Bohemia z załogą Matthias Kahle/Peter Göbel. Samochód ten stanowi zatem autentyczny fragment historii udziału marki Škoda w światowych rajdach.
Samochód został wypożyczony muzeum z prywatnej kolekcji Martina Adama i Vojtěcha Klusta. Dziękujemy.
